Problems we will face

  • It may take about two to three years for Americans to notice the benefits of the new immigration policy. In the meantime, the deeply rooted anti-immigration sentiment will be vocal in some media outlets.
  • The world does not trust American immigration policy. It will take time and effort to propagate the message that the change is firm and will remain in effect.
  • In the beginning, millions of people will try to come to the United States immediately. We need to implement a transition policy to give people time to cool down and realistically evaluate their chances to make it in America.
  • Increased immigration will be an economic boon for the United States, but it will require many American workers to change jobs, improve their qualifications or relocate. Businesses and government will need to assist those affected.
